I was attending UM in 1973 and I remember the angst from my professors over the change to the commissioner system. My brother in law, Roger Wagner has been a con-con member from valley county so I knew the real background. I think the independent nature of our universities are stellar . It is great to be seperate from the legislature and political parties. We owe this to the wisdom of the con-con and the guidance and example of Larry Pettit.
My maternal family grew up in Lewistown. (The Story, Dockery, McCracken families) I remember the Carnegie library there in Lewistown. I think they were all Eisenhower Republicand though!
