I was a music major in college, and I think it actually sapped much of the joy I used to get from playing music. I wasn’t passionate enough about it to enjoy dissecting songs and learning music theory. So for nearly thirty years after college, I rarely touched a piano, and I never sang, not even when I was by myself. So I’ve been really happy to rediscover the passion for music in the past few years. I know I’m not great, but I honestly don’t care. I play songs I love, and when I heard this song on the radio this morning, I knew I wanted to learn it.

I understand your view on music. I went through something similar.. although I hold a BA in music, I spent many years having no musical outlet. Over the last few years I’ve been back studying with a vocal coach and singing purely for the joy of music…. And an occasional performance in my teacher’s student recitals.. I’m happier on days that I sing..it’s a natural antidepressant like gardening..🎶🪴🍀🌱👍🏼
I have enjoyed hearing your music again, as it was the "soundtrack" of my yoot! Plus Lucinda was a favorite of dad's on this, his 92nd birthday!
